When Life Feels Uncertain, and You’re Unsure What Comes Next

Life can leave you feeling lost at times. You may have grown up thinking that you would have everything figured out by the time you were in your 20’s. However, for many people, this isn’t true. There are so many personal growth and life transitions that occur in life. You may ask yourself, am I on the right path? Did I choose the right career? Am I with the right person? Should I move somewhere else? Whether you are in college, newly engaged, or getting married, starting a new job or career, moving away, getting divorced, or more, these can feel like monumental changes.

Common Challenges During Life Transitions

Anxiety will often accompany periods of transitions in our lives. The anxiety cycle includes avoidance of stimuli that makes you feel those uncomfortable feelings, but this makes the anxiety grow and become more overwhelming in the long run. Anxiety is meant to be there if we are in danger in order to protect us. However, when your nervous system feels like it is frequently in danger when it is not, this causes a huge hinderance in your life and affects many parts. I am here to help you learn ways to cope with the anxiety and how to feel empowered over the anxiety instead of feeling like it controls you.

When Life Feels Uncertain

Major life transitions can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or questioning your next steps. Whether you’re navigating career changes, relationship shifts, or changes in identity, therapy provides a supportive space to process uncertainty and regain direction.

  • Do you struggle with feeling confident or doubt yourself at times? We all struggle with confidence and our self-esteem sometimes. You are not alone. Confidence and self esteem come from learning to trust yourself and follow through when you say that you will do something for yourself. Do you feel like you have a hard time with people pleasing, not being assertive in communicating, or a lack of boundaries? These can make you become resentful in relationships and even become disappointed with yourself. Thoughts in your mind may tell you that you are not good enough, that you have made a mistake, or make you doubt yourself. Together, we will work on challenging these thoughts and gaining trust in yourself to feel more confident in all aspects of life. If you are not sure what your authentic self looks like, I will help to guide you in exploring these parts of yourself and bring them to the forefront. Let’s get started on your journey on feeling more empowered and confident in who you are!

Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don't.
